A.       Transportation Contract Extensions

Approve the Transportation Contract Extensions for the period September 1, 2012 – June 30, 2013 with First Student as follows:

E011769    (District Buses: Operation & Maint./Extra Miles) $897,923 & $2.57/Mile (anticipated cost -  $1,026,750)

E011770    (First Student Buses: Op. & Maint./Late Bussing) $251,889 & $2.21/Mile (anticipated cost -  $288,940)

E011771    (Athletic & Field Trips)  $16.95/Hour (anticipated cost -  $36,010)

E011772    (Special Education Monitors) $13.06/Hour (anticipated cost -  $181,195)

These contracts do not exceed the current CPI set by NYSED (1.8%). 

B.       Bid Award for Replacement of Boiler Tubes

Approve the bid award for Replacement of Boiler tubes in the amount of $15,275.00 from Converse Welding Service.

C.      Authorization to Bid the Sale of Used Vehicle

Authorize the Business Manager to Bid the Sale of the following Used Vehicle:

(was last used by Maintenance Department - all seats removed previously)

D.      Authorization to Bid the Sale of Used Band Uniforms

Authorize the Business Manager to Bid the Sale of the following Used Band Uniforms Lots:

Lot #2:       50 Uniform Jackets; 50 Bib Overall Pants; 50 Plastic Helmets; and 50 Uniform Bags

E.       School Lunch and Breakfast Program Participation and Policies

Approve the Certification of Acceptance of the Free and Reduced Price Meal Policy for participation in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, during 2012-2013, incorporating the income eligibility guidelines, application form, suggested format for letters to parents and news media, and revise school lunch pricing to $1.60 for Elementary and $1.85 for High School/Middle School

F.       Voting Delegate for NYSSBA Convention

Correct the Probationary Period of John C. Wells.

B.       Request for Resignation from Extra-Curricular Advisor

Accept the request for resignation from Betty L. Hall from her extra-curricular appointment as Musical Co-Director for the 2012-2013 school year.

C.      Request for Resignation from Teaching Assistant

Accept the request for resignation from Kaitlyn S. Kiechle, effective July 24, 2012.

D.      Request for Resignation from Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Accept the request for resignation from Joseph Bockus, effective July 13, 2012.

E.       Appointment of Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Appoint Casandra J. Jock to the probationary position of Secondary Mathematics Teacher.

F.       Appointment of Music Teacher

Appoint Erin G. Shambo to the probationary position of Music Teacher.

G.      Request for Resignation of CSE Chair / Principal

Accept the request for resignation from Jennifer A. Neaton, effective August 17, 2012.

H.      Appointment of Substitute Teacher

Approve the appointment of Jennifer Nowak as a certified instructional substitute for the 2012-2013 school year and as a long-term substitute for a Middle School Science teacher from September 1, 2012 to approximately October 29, 2012.

I.        Appointment of Fall Coaching Volunteer

Appoint Lauren Reed as Girls Varsity Soccer Assistant (unpaid) for Fall 2012.
